Behavioral Health Counseling

HealthWays/Regional Medical Center at Lubec offers Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling services.  Our staff is dedicated to guiding you, or your loved ones through the process of making successful life changes with education, compassion, and dedication.  We offer a wide range of services including individual, family, and group counseling for anxiety disorders including PTSD, mood disorders, stress reduction, etc.  DEEP/OUI and Addiction Treatment (Suboxone) programs offered.  Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.  For more information or an appointment call, (207) 733-1090 ext 2198.  Counseling offices in Lubec, East Machias and Calais.

Substance Abuse Counseling Providers

Paula Frost, LADC, LSW, NCAC II, CCS,  joined HealthWays/Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 1989.  Paula earned her Bachelors Degree from Connecticut College.  Paula is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, National Certified Addictions Counselor and Certified Clinical Supervisor.



Sandra Draper-Hayward, LADC, joined HealthWays/Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 2002.  Sandra completed her education through Gorham Teachers College, Husson College and EMMC.  Sandra is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Anne Leaver, LCPC, LADC, CCS has lived in Washington County since 2004 and joined HealthWays/Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 2016.  Anne earned her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her Master's in Clinical Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University of Maryland.  Anne is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Clinical Supervisor.

Virginia Pond, Med, MSW, LCSW joined the Behavioral Health team in May 2018.  Virginia earned her Master of Social Work degree in 2004 from Boston University School of Social Work.
