Regional Medical Center at Lubec (RMCL)

Lubec clinical staff provide medical and lab appointments Monday thru Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Podiatry appointments are available one day a month, the first Friday of the month.

Robert Abrams, MD, joined the medical staff of the Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 1999.   Dr. Abrams received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Health Sciences Center College of Medicine.  Dr. Abrams retired from the US Navy after serving at the Cutler Naval Base and Camp Pendelton, CA.  He is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, https://www.theabfm.org/diplomate/certified.aspx  and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, http://www.aafp.org/about/membership/services/degree-of-fellow.html
Nelson Meaker, PA-C, joined the medical staff of the Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 2017. Nelson is a 1981 graduate of the Physican Assistant Program, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University. Nelson is board certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
Amy Zipperer, AGNP-C, joined the medical staff of Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 2021. Amy is a nurse practitioner who specializes in primary care for adolescents, adults, and older adults. Amy has a special interest and additional training in treating substance use disorders. Amy completed her master’s degree in nursing at Duke University in 2021 and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She previously worked in home health, hospice, and emergency nursing. Amy has been happy to call Washington County home since 2006 and is pleased to be seeing patients in Lubec.
Nicholas Vachon, DPM, joined the medical staff of the Regional Medical Center at Lubec in 2004. Dr. Vachon received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiaric Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. He is board certified in foot surgery from the American Board of Ankle and Foot Surgery. Dr. Vachon provides podiatry services 1 day per month.

East Machias Clinic

East Machias clinical staff provide medical and lab appointments Monday-Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Christine Moulton, NP, joined the medical staff of the HealthWays/East Machias Clinic in 2014. Christine received her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner concentration in 1999 from the University of Southern Maine, Portland. Christine is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Mary Beth Newman, NP, joined the medical staff of the HealthWays/East Machias Clinic in 2020. Mary Beth received her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner concentration in 2019 from Chamberlain University. Mary Beth is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
